Since I wasn't with them, I am going to do my best to convey their trip to you. My niece was born with a rare medical condition and her doctor is at Johns Hopkins in Maryland. She usually only has to go about once a year/every two years, but this year she has had to go twice- maybe even three times. It is cheaper to drive than to fly, so mom and dad offered to take Sam and Ry...
My two favorite girls!
Their first stop -in front of some mountains in VA or WV..
Finally made it to Baltimore ~ the kiddos in front of the statue in Johns Hopkins...
Kiddos love tunnels!
They went to the Baltimore Aquarium and then the St. Louis Zoo...
Next stop - top of the Arch...
They were gone for a week, traveled through 11 states, got to see the Eastern Continental Divide, 2 different tunnels, Harpers Ferry - Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers, Mississippi River, Ohio River, Shenandoah Valley, Appalachian Mountain Range, Smokey Mountains, 5 famous ballfields and went through a time change zone... busy but exciting and filling week!! So glad they got the opportunity to experience this.
