A visit to the Police Department

Within our homeschool group, we have a TEEN group.  We just recently reached the age to become part of the TEENs - even though we are not quite teenagers yet.  I am still very cautious about what events they attend - plus all of our teens are pretty good kiddos!  Anyway, what I am getting at here is one of our (very busy) mom of a teen has started TEEN Focus.  She has set up different field trips to different colleges and places of work for our teens to check out to see the options for the different career paths that are available. We have been on a couple of the field trips - that I felt were relevant to our lives - no college trips yet!

One of my all time faves has got to be the trip to the Sherwood Police Department.  We were given a behind the scenes tour of the department - Warrants Office, Booking, Jail Cell, Dispatch and CSI Room!  All of the kiddos were full of questions!
