A Scout is….

The Boy Scout Law states a Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

From the time the Scout turns 10 and moves from being a Cub Scout/Webelos, they are taught this.  It is part of their ceremonies.  They are expected to memorize this, live this, be this.

2014 will be Riley’s final leg of his journey to Eagle Scout, so I want to take this law and focus on one trait each month.  I want to share what each trait means, how they can live it out, how the troop lives up to this, and finally, how Riley displays each trait.

I have never done a link-up or a carnival, but would like for this series to be connected to others with scouts.  If you have a Boy Scout, if he’s just a Cub, please consider honoring him and the Scout Law, share a bit about him and the relevance to each trait.  I will share these in order, on the 12th of each month.
