Schoolhouse Review Crew - Dayspring Christian Academy - The Pilgrim Story

Just in time to lead up to the holidays, we were able to review The Pilgrim Story from Dayspring Christian Academy. The Pilgrim Story is an interactive, self-paced online course, designed for grades 3-6th. The Pilgrim Story consists of 5 Units, with a total of 17 lessons and Unit tests.  Each lesson is designed to take anywhere from 30-45 minutes.  In addition to the online interaction, each lesson has worksheets and some even have writing projects.  The course is $99 for a six month access.

The Pilgrim Story was more than just a lesson about some people coming over on a boat to start a new life.  It went back further than that and offered a thorough explanation as to the why's and how's of coming and starting a new life.  I sat down with the kiddos each day to do the lessons with them - at least in the beginning we did - I am debating on them trying the next unit on their own. We started these lessons far enough out that by the time we get to Thanksgiving in our lesson plans, doing one lesson a day, three of our four school days, it should flow right in with our lessons.  

Both kiddos seem to enjoy the lessons on the computer. Riley likes that it gives you the hints to the student worksheets.  Samantha likes the interactive part of it - both loved the packing their chest activity!
