Our original plans to leave out at 6am were changed quickly when Rog's cell phone died in the middle of the night and he woke up at 6:20! We got evverything packed up and loaded in the car, the woke the kiddos to head out at about 6:50. The weather was chilly and the sunrise was very pretty (no, sorry, didn't take any pictures). The kiddos fell back asleep and slept for about an hour. We stopped for breakfast, then to stretch at the Mississippi welcome center. The kiddos played Lego's and watched Monster's Inc. I feel asleep about the time we saw the welcome to Tennessee sign and Roger woke me up at the Arkansas welcome center. I felt bad the whole way home, coughing and sneezing. I think it was the temperature change. That stretch between Memphis and Little Rock is always the hardest of any trip.
We finally made it home about 2:15. Got part of the car unloaded and hung out here for a while. Dinner was at my sisters house, so we went over there and ate and played one round of Five Crowns - we were tired so we came home and crashed!
Sounds like a WONDERFULLY MAGICAL trip! I'm so glad you were able to go again and had a great time. How is Rog's leg, now? - WE LOVE BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD, too - but; we do NOT like TOWER OF TERROR. I don't think you could pay any of us to go back on, again. - LOL - Chare
