My Incredible Homeschool Story

Mrs. Incredible is hosting an Incredible Contest on her blog!  Enter one of your most Incredible homeschooling moments and you could win an exciting box of school supplies!

Here is my Incredible Homeschooling Story:

We did a little bit of FIAR when the kids were pre-K age (4), one of the first stories we ever rowed was Madeline.  We rowed it for about a week and then we got to go to the Children's Theater and see Madeline and the Gypsies.  After that, sadly it was dropped.  About a year later, when we started Kindergarten(5), we rowed How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World.  We spent a lot of time on that book, there were a lot of countries we go to flyto and explore.  One day, when we were on our way to France, before we really got into the discussion about it, Ry says 'Hey mom, while we are in France, can we stop by and visit Madeline and see how she is feeling -- she was sick you know'. Talk about jaw dropping. There was about a year time span between the two books and I was totally amazed that he put all that together.

  4. Isn't it wonderful to find out they are internalizing and learning! When those types of things happen with my DC I think, "yeah, this homeschooling is workin'!"

    Hi Krista-

I started out with the Template that has the windowbox/flowers in the upper left corner. It has the light yellow Title Boxes and red font.

A friend of mine has it... her username is mrsdiamond.

If you need some help, I have a test blog, and I will be happy to play with it - or let one of our young ladies who love HTML and blog design play ...

Thank you for stopping by... I will be commenting on your blog again when I can take a better look!! I love your template and your blinkies! Can I steal yoru Weekly Menu idea for the sidebar???

    Many blessings to you,

  7. I just found your blog and I love your design! We have used FIAR off and on again too. Madeline is a favorite in our house! I have 4 daughters but my 5yo has all of the Madeline books and knows them by heart!

We went to Hot Springs in May and had a great time too! We decided against going to Magic Springs too b/c it costs the so much! My dd8 did not like the Wax Museum! She thought it was "too freaky" : )

    Have a great day!

    God Bless!
