CERT ~ part 3 ~ fire suppression

The course work this week with C.E.R.T. Class was fire-suppression.  First, the kiddos were all given their bags and it was like Christmas for them digging through their bags!  In addition to the nice bag, they get a hardhat, safety goggles, several different multitools, flashlight, bright colored vests & I am sure there was more, but I can't think what else... the bags were quite packed.

Part of the fire suppression was turning off (and back on - but they were advised against) utilities in the event of an emergency situation.  They got to see the gas and electric at the station.

Then, one of the FF's were able to borrow the BullEx System from their job and allowed the kiddos to put out an electronic flame.  Wasn't quite the same as an actual fire and extinguisher, but it gave them an idea.  They enjoyed it and it was a pretty cool machine.
