Two red flags

I woke up early this morning and went out on the patio to this....

As I was alone on the patio, I watched this storm move out across the gulf go from the above to this ~

That was the beginning of a rather long and stormy day... We spent the a good part of the day inside, watching the wind blow the trees and the waves pound the beach...

 Later in the day, it cleared up a little and Rog and the kiddos went down to the beach and waded in a little ways, but about the time they got in, the truck came by announcing that it was double red flag and no one was allowed in the water & don't get back in after she leaves - there were people in the water all up and down the coast that we could see...

They decided to go to the pool and swim. Apparently there was a lot of problem with people on the beach, because we saw this while they were in the pool...

It was nice to just have a lazy, quiet day...we did sneak down to the beach after dark, but we mostly stayed out of the water...
