Weekend Road Trip!

The kiddos signed up for Scouting University, a program put on by Alpha Phi Omega at University of Fayetteville.  Fayetteville is about 3.5 hours away, so we decided to make a road trip of it and headed up the day before.  Roger was able to take off work and go with us.  We hit the road early Friday morning and made it to Fayetteville by lunch. Ate a hamburger joint in the square called Hugo's!  It was recommended by a few friends and it was pretty yummy!!

We left Fayetteville and went even further north to Pea Ridge to the Pea Ridge Battlefield (you had to know that's where we were going - because there is nothing else in Pea Ridge, Arkansas!!).  Since we studied the Civil War earlier this year, and they knew there was a battle in AR, they were excited to go.   We roamed the musuem for a while and then drove the battlefield.  Very pretty place!

After our day at Pea Ridge, we met some friends that live in Rogers (and my sister & neice, who was in Rogers to visit the Crystal Bridges Museum). Met them all at Red Robin (first time we ever ate there and all I can say YUMM!!!).

Up bright and early Saturday morning and headed to the University.  Samantha signed up for Cadette's badge called Special Agent and Riley is doing his Chemistry Merit Badge.  Once they were off to their groups, we were free to go for the day.  Another family from Troop #542 was also there, so we all loaded up and went to IHOP for breakfast and then to the mall...  We decided to get pedicures and the guys were in agreeable, so we found a nail place!
Yes, these PINK and YELLOW toes are Roger's!
