Monday morning was pretty normal....we started a fire and the kiddos did their school work. Rog worked his part time job and got home fairly early, we had nachos for dinner. At the last minute, I decided to go to the fire station - but it was cold out and I wasn't going to stay long.
By the time we got to the fire station, it was starting to sleet/freeze rain on us, so they pretty much canceled the meeting - except they needed to get chains on the trucks. They had one call, and returned from it, started dealing with the chains - got the fire truck ready to run, then started on the ambulance. About the time they got it jacked up and the tire off so the could put the stud tire on, they got a rescue call. All they could take was the fire truck, so they went to the scene and had to wait on the ambulance. The roads had gotten so bad, it took almost 30 minutes for an ambulance to get out here.
We made it home slippery and safe - I am headed to bed!
