Blogger Friend School Assignment #13

Ok, Nancy has taken over the BFS for Tamara, since she was having major computer issues, and I am just now getting around to finding this out, so I am not to terribly late with this assignment.

How old is your bible? Well, I have had my bible for a while - like since I was in high school.  It is full of notes and stuff and I don't want to give it up, but it is falling apart. I have a new one to replace it with, so my quiet time has been comparing the two and deciding what notes to transfer over. SO, honestly, I guess I should say that my bible is just a month old, but I am still hanging on to my old one.

Why did you chose this Bible?  It is a study bible and has great notes and such that I wanted since I knew nothing about the bible.

Do you highlight/mark passages in your Bible?  yep, my bible is full of markings and writings - I like having it all in one place

If so, what is your system for marking passages? ummm, no system for marking really - just write or mark what stands out to me when I am at that passage

Do you have notebooks to record things?  not really...I have one in my bible carrier that I use to jot stuff down during church, but I usually come home and transfer it into my bible.

If so, how many and what do you record? oops, I guess I answered that above

Where is your favourite spot to read your Bible? My bed

Are there any special thoughts about your Bible you want to share? No, I just got a new one and maybe someone can share their thoughts with me on it - it is a New King James, which I was a bit leary about - it is a Nelson's Study bible, and so far, I seem to like it.

  1. It's really hard to decide which notes to transfer over isn't it? I've had my Bible only 3 years and still cannot decide which notes to keep and which to transfer, so now, I just keep my notes in a notebook that I carry in my Bible case. It's much easier and I don't have to mark in my new Bible. Thanks for signing up for the BFS. I love your blogs look...my daddy was a fireman for 18 years and my husband fought forest fires and played Smokey the Bear for 12 years before becoming disabled. Hope to see you again for the next assignment.
